Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Omar Ayub and Aleema Khan have been summoned by the JIT on charges of negative propaganda on social media.
According to sources, the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has directed Aleema Khan, the sister of PTI founder, to appear today. While a notice has been issued to Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Omar Ayub to appear tomorrow.
The JIT has evidence regarding Omar Ayub and Aleema Khan, on the basis of which the sister of the founder PTI and Omar Ayub have been summoned.
It should be noted that the JIT was formed to prevent electronic crimes. And the JIT is headed by the IG Islamabad Police.
On the other hand, 25 PTI members involved in negative propaganda appeared before the JIT. Those who appeared included Secretary General PTI Salman Akram Raja, Rauf Hassan, Shah Farman, Asad Qaiser, PTI Women’s Wing President Kanwal Shozab and others.
According to sources, the JIT is conducting a basic investigation of all 25 people on the basis of evidence. The notice had warned all the people to clarify their position in the matter.
