Morocco has won the U-20 Football World Cup title for the first time.
In the final of the 24th U-20 World Cup held in Chile under the auspices of FIFA, Morocco created history by defeating strong rivals Argentina 0-2.
In the final played at the Julio Martinez Pradanos National Stadium in Santiago, Mohamed Yasser Zuberi scored two brilliant goals in the 12th and 29th minutes to give his team victory. He was named the best player of the match for his outstanding performance.
With this historic victory, Morocco became the first African country to win the U-20 World Cup since 2009, Ghana had previously achieved this honor.
During the tournament, Morocco reached the final by defeating strong teams like South Korea, the United States and France in the knockout stage.
On the other hand, the Argentine team, which had been undefeated throughout the tournament, was affected by the absence of two of its key players in the final, Claudio Echevarri of Bayer Leverkusen and Franco Mastantuano of Real Madrid.
