Islamabad: A complaint has been filed in the Supreme Judicial Council against the Chief Election Commissioner and members of the Election Commission.
According to the sources, the complaint against the Chief Election Commissioner and the members of the Supreme Judicial Council was jointly filed by Haleem Adil Sheikh, Justice (R) Noorul Haq Qureshi and Shabbir Ahmed. The complaint was sent by post.
In the complaint, it has been argued that the Chief Election Commissioner and members failed to fulfill their constitutional responsibility. If the allegations are proved in the inquiry, the dismissal of the Chief Election Commissioner and members should be recommended.
