A coaster going to Palindri from Rawalpindi plunged into a deep ditch near Girari bridge in Kahota police station, killing 25 people.
According to preliminary information, the accident occurred due to high speed.
Rescue 1122 teams reached the accident site and tried to take out the bodies and the injured from the coaster and transfer them to the hospital. The bodies are being shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kahota.
According to Commissioner Poonch Division Sardar Abdul Waheed, the accident took place near Pana Bridge between Azad Patan and Kahota. As soon as the accident was reported, rescue teams from Rawalkot and Sidhanoti have been dispatched to the spot.
Deputy Commissioner Siddhanuti Umar Farooq said that among the dead are children, women and men, the deceased belong to Siddhanuti district.
