A bug has been issued to iPhone users that can leak all their passwords.
Experts have warned Apple users to check and update their device settings so that their sensitive private information is not at risk.
If iPhone users have recently installed iOS 18, they will see a ‘Passwords’ app on the device’s home screen that has been automatically downloaded.
This app stores all logins and passwords (which users have allowed to save the phone) in one place.
While this tool seems to be very effective, a flaw has been revealed in its system after its launch.
Developer and security researcher Tommy Misek has pointed out that the app is using ‘unencrypted’ HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol).
This means that if a user allows the Passwords app to enter details to log in to a web page, the user’s information could be leaked.
However, the device issue has been resolved, but users will need to update their devices to ensure their information is safe.
