New Delhi: In India, incidents of rape and violence against women have increased rapidly.
In the third term of the Modi government, there has been a significant increase in the cases of rape and murder of Indian women. In the city of Kolkata in the Indian state of Bengal, there have been many incidents reported one after the other of rape and violence against women on the basis of gender. In a recent humanitarian incident in Nandigram, a suburb of West Bengal, BJP workers stripped a woman naked and forced her to walk for 300 meters on the grounds of political opposition. The family members of the stripped woman were also beaten up by the BJP workers and the house was also damaged.
The affected women say that I was with BJP but recently joined another party due to which I was attacked. Police detained 6 people including BJP Youth President Tapas Das.
The Modi government is currently facing intense state and international pressure and BJP workers are causing further embarrassment to their party.
