The Lahore High Court has summoned the Deputy Commissioner Lahore and adjourned the hearing till 11 o’clock on the petition filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against not being given permission to hold a rally on August 14 in Lahore.
Justice Ali Baqir Najafi heard the petition of citizen Akmal Khan.
The public prosecutor informed the court that I have instructions that Chehlam is on 24th, 25th and 26th August, there will be tight security situation due to Chehlam, after that file this application, we will look at the security situation. Will order, PTI apply after 27th, we will decide after agency report.
On this, the petitioner’s lawyer said that they are saying to give a date after the 26th, we will give the affidavit for the 27th. Will tell.
Later, Justice Ali Baqir Najafi remarked that you can ask the Deputy Commissioner Lahore to appear before the court, Advocate General Punjab said that yes, the court should order, the Deputy Commissioner must come.
On this, the public prosecutor said that they should apply for any date after 26, the court said that it is better if this matter is done in front of the Deputy Commissioner Lahore.
Later, the court summoned the Deputy Commissioner Lahore and adjourned the hearing till 11 o’clock.
It should be remembered that Tehreek-e-Insaf had filed a petition last week against not getting permission for the rally on August 14.
On August 7, after not getting permission to hold a rally at Minar Pakistan on August 14, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf submitted a request to Deputy Commissioner Lahore for a rally on August 13.
