DHAKA: Hasina Wajid’s 16-year rule in Bangladesh ended in a student protest movement and she resigned and took refuge in India, which has since seen widespread reshuffles in administrative positions, including the army and police. .
According to Bangladeshi media, the Ministry of Interior has issued a notification of changes in the top positions of the police. Under which the new Director General for the Rapid Action Battalion will be AKM Shahur Rehman while Mohammad Aminul Hasan has been appointed as Commissioner Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
Similarly, Barrister Mohammad Haroon-ul-Rashid and Habib-ur-Rehman will be Additional Inspector General of Police Headquarters in Dhaka.
It should be noted that Mohammad Moinul Islam was appointed as the new Inspector General of Bangladesh Police last night in place of Chaudhry Abdullah Al Mamun.
The changes come after a high-level reshuffle in the military aimed at removing Hasina Wajid sympathizers from administrative positions in the interim government and assuaging popular anger.
