An application was filed in the Lahore High Court against the 20 to 25 percent increase in the salaries of federal government employees.
Regarding the application, Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh of Lahore High Court issued the written order of the previous hearing. The court issued notices to the parties and sought their response.
A copy of the petition has been provided to the public prosecutor, the written order said. The public prosecutor should appear with instructions at the next hearing.
In the petition filed against the increase in the salaries of the employees of the federal government and the armed forces, it was argued that the federal government had neglected the employees of other corporations and semi-autonomous bodies. The court should declare the federal government’s salary increase notification null and void.
