Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Minister of Health and Population Welfare of Sindh Dr. Ezra Fazal Pechuho met the Deputy Speaker of the New York Assembly Philip Ramos and the Republican Assemblyman of the New York Assembly Mr. Alec Brook Krasny.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the procedures for allowing nurses to work in the US. The American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee (APPAC) was also a part of the meeting. The delegation included EPAC Chairman Dr. Ijaz Ahmed, EPAC President Imtiaz Rahi and Director. Epic Dr. Parvez Iqbal was involved.
Director Health Development Mr. Dabir A. Khan, CEO SIEHS Brigadier (retd) Tariq Lakhir, Head of Nursing at AKU Dr. Rafat Jan, Principal Nursing of Dow University Ms. Rubina Qasim, Principal Nursing Lams Ms. Parveen and Principal Korangi Nursing College Mr. Shabbir Jhatial participated.
In the meeting, the obstacles faced in the process of sending nurses to America were identified. Both parties agreed to work together to work in the US. In this regard, the staff level committee will be informed both in America and Pakistan.
