A group of 89 Pakistani pilgrims left for Ajmer Sharif in India, while 84 Hindu pilgrims from India arrived in Pakistan to participate in the birth anniversary celebrations of Swami Shada Ram.
According to the Tribune, a group of 89 Pakistani pilgrims entered India through the Wagah Border Crossing in Lahore on Sunday to participate in the Urs celebrations of the great saint of the Indian subcontinent, Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Ajmeri (may Allah have mercy on him).
According to the Tribune, a total of 500 Pakistanis had applied for visas to attend the 813th death anniversary of the Sufi saint, however, the Indian Consulate in Islamabad has issued one-week visas to only 102 applicants. Thirteen of the applicants were delayed in issuing visas and could not travel to India due to bad weather. Speaking to The Express Tribune, some pilgrims thanked Allah Almighty for this opportunity.
According to the Times of India, 84 Hindu pilgrims from India reached Pakistan via the Wagah border to participate in the 316th birth anniversary celebrations of Swami Shada Ram. The Hindu pilgrims went from the Wagah border to the Shadani Darbar Hayat Patafi in Sindh, where all the celebrations and religious rituals will be held.
