The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced central contracts for the players of the women’s cricket team.
The announcement issued by the board said that the PCB has given central contracts to 16 women cricketers for the 2024-25 season, which will be implemented from July 1, 2024.
Last year, 20 cricketers were given central contracts for 2 years, in which it was said that their performance would be reviewed after the 2023-24 season.
Captain Fatima Sana and wicketkeeper-batsman Muniba Ali have been promoted to Category A, while left-arm spinner Sadia Iqbal has managed to make a place in Category B based on her recent excellent performance.
This central contract includes 3 new entries Gul Feroza, Ramin Shamim and Tasmia Rabab. Tasmia Rabab has received a central contract for the first time, which is an important milestone in her career. Gul Feroza has been able to get a central contract again after 2018 and Ramin Shamim after 2022-23.
Similarly, the central contracts of Nida Dar, Alia Riaz, Anushay Nasir, Iman Fatima, Shawal Zulfiqar and Sidra Nawaz have not been renewed, however, all these players will remain available for selection.

Category A: Fatima Sana, Muneeb Ali and Sidra Amin.
Category B: Nashra Sindhu, Sadia Iqbal
Category C: Diana Baig, Umaima Sohail
Category D: Ghulam Fatima, Gul Feroza, Najiha Alvi, Ramin Shamim, Sadaf Shams, Syeda Aroub, Tasmia Rabab, Tuba Hassan and Umm Hani.
