Another 31 Palestinians were martyred and 57 were injured yesterday due to the unrestrained bombardment of Israeli forces in Gaza.
Arab media Al Jazeera has reported that 45,885 Palestinians have been martyred and nearly 1.2 million injured in the Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023.
The United Nations food agency World Food Program (WFP) has condemned Israeli fire on its aid convoy in the Gaza Strip. UN Secretary-General’s spokesman Stephane Dujarric said that the Israeli army opened fire on a convoy consisting of three vehicles, with 16 bullets hitting the vehicles.
UN relief chief Tom Fletcher says efforts to rescue the beleaguered Gazans are at serious risk due to the war and the attack on a World Food Program convoy. Israeli forces have launched an operation to search for two Palestinians who shot and killed three Israelis in an illegal Jewish settlement in the West Bank.
According to the Israeli military, Major Riwah, 28, and Captain Shekhnazi, 24, of the Israeli army were killed in an attack by Palestinian militants in Gaza. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said at a news conference that the US has pushed for a ceasefire agreement in Gaza to be finalized before President Joe Biden leaves office. His statement came after Hamas said that a list of 34 Israeli hostages to be released under the agreement had been drawn up.
On the other hand, US President-elect Donald Trump has again threatened on a US radio talk show that if the hostages are not released by the time he takes office, there will be consequences. Sources told Saudi broadcaster Al-Arabiya that a meeting between Fatah and Hamas delegations is taking place again to agree on the modalities of managing Gaza after the war. This is the fourth time that the two Palestinian delegations have met in the Egyptian capital.
