A surprising revelation has been made regarding the earnings of singers in India that the fee of India’s highest paid singer is Rs 3 crore per song, which is many times more than famous singers like Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam.
According to reports, India’s renowned composer and singer AR Rahman charges around Rs 3 crore for singing each song. Interestingly, he focuses most of his attention on composition and sings only on limited occasions.
The aim of Rahman’s extraordinary fee is to prevent composers from turning to him. He usually sings only on his own composed music, and if he sings on someone else’s composition, the producers have to pay a huge amount.
Unlike part-time singers, Shreya Ghoshal charges the highest among full-time singers, who charges Rs 25 lakh per song. They are followed by Sunny Deol and Arijit Singh, who charge between Rs 18-20 lakh per song.
Sonu Nigam is at number five on the list, charging between Rs 15-18 lakh per song. According to reports, rapper Badshah and singer Diljit Dosanjh have increased their fees in recent years and could possibly join the top 5.
