Hamas clashed with an Israeli army raiding team in Gaza.
According to the International News Agency, the latest clash took place in the Beit Hanoun area of Gaza. In which 4 Israeli army personnel were seriously injured.
The injured Israeli army personnel were transferred to a nearby hospital where 2 soldiers were confirmed dead, while 2 are in critical condition.
A statement issued by the Israeli army said that one of the killed personnel was identified as 24-year-old Eitan Sheknazi, who was the deputy company commander in the 932nd Battalion of the Nihal Brigade.
The Israeli army said in a statement that the process of identifying the other personnel is still underway, whose name will be released later.
The Israeli army did not reveal the identities of its wounded personnel. Due to the critical condition of both, there is a risk of the death toll rising.
The death of two Israeli soldiers brings the number of Israeli soldiers killed in the past year to more than 500.
This is in addition to the 1,000 soldiers killed in the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
