Islamabad: The hearing in the 190 million pounds case was adjourned due to the non-appearance of Imran Khan’s lawyer.
In front of the newly appointed Judge Nasir Javed Rana in Accountability Court Islamabad, the hearing of the 190 million pound reference against the founding chairman of PTI and his wife Bushra Bibi was held in Adiala Jail, in which the statement of the investigation officer of the reference, Mian Umar Nadeem. But the cross-examination could not be done.
During the hearing, Bushra Bibi’s lawyer Usman Gul told the court that founder PTI’s lawyer Zaheer Abbasi Chaudhry was not available due to busy schedule. If the lawyer is available, he will cross-examine the investigating officer.
On this occasion, PTI founder chairman Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were presented in the court room while NAB Prosecutor General Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi also appeared in the court along with the team. During the hearing, the lawyers of PTI founder filed an application regarding the phone conversation with his sons, on which the court sought a report from the jail administration.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the 190 million pound reference till August 7.
