ISLAMABAD: In the 190 million pound case, PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi sought a verdict on the plea of acquittal from the accountability court before giving the 342 statement in their cleanup.
The 190 million pound case was heard in the Accountability Court Islamabad in Rawalpindi Adiala Jail. Founder PTI and Bushra Bibi did not submit 342 statement and answers to court questionnaires in their cleanup.
Their lawyers Barrister Salman Safdar, Usman Gul and Zaheer Abbas said that according to the order of the Islamabad High Court, a decision should be taken on the plea of acquittal of the accused first.
Safai’s lawyers have pleaded for 2 weeks to answer the questions of founder PTI and Bushra Bibi, asking that two weeks be given to submit answers to 79 questions, reviewing 3500 pages of the case. There are 79 questions to prepare.
The NAB lawyer said that no such order of the High Court was presented in the court, on which the Safai lawyers said that the hearing should be adjourned until the order of the High Court is received.
Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana adjourned the hearing on the reference till Wednesday, November 13.
It may be recalled that in the 190 million pound reference, the court has provided a questionnaire containing 14 pages and 79 questions related to the statement of 342 to the founder PTI, in which 458 kanals from co-accused property tycoon in the name of Prime Minister-ul-Qadir Trust. Alleged acquisition of land for illegal financial gain.
