Peshawar: 1571 personnel of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police are assigned to protect the judges of High Court and Subordinate Judiciary.
The provincial police department has released data on the security of judicial officers and courts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and southern districts, according to which 1,571 police personnel are guarding judges of the high court and subordinate courts in the province. But the services are being performed.
Police and FC personnel are present at all times at residences and movements of judicial officers in the province. Security is provided to Additional Sessions Judges and Civil Judges in consultation with DPO and District Judges in view of threats.
According to the police department, 258 police officers are posted in DI Khan for the security of judicial officers and courts. 143 judicial complexes, 17 residences of judicial officers and 98 police personnel are posted as guards along with judicial officers.
The data further states that 22 police officers are assigned to the security of courts and judicial officers in Tank district. 9 police officers are stationed in the precincts of courts, 5 at the residences of judicial officers and 8 as guards with judicial officers.
64 police officers are deployed in South Waziristan to protect courts and judicial officers.
