California: Instant messaging application WhatsApp is testing a ‘zoom control’ feature for its chat camera. This new addition will help users to capture clearer images.
This zoom control feature being offered for testing was marked by WhatsApp Beta Info in Android beta version 2.24.15.3. This feature is currently available to some users as it is in testing phase.
Users will be able to see this feature as equivalent to the shutter button in the app’s camera. By clicking this button, users will be able to set their own zoom level.
Users will also be able to use the ‘pinch-zoom’ gesture to zoom in or out of an object. Additionally, users will be able to quickly reset the zoom level by clicking the zoom button.
This new feature is much better than the previous version. Previously, users had to hold down the shutter button and move their fingers up and down on the screen to zoom in or out. But now users can make these changes with a few taps.
