All cricket rules and regulations will be followed, BCCI Secretary
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made its stance clear regarding the handshake between the women’s teams of India and Pakistan before the match.
The BCCI, maintaining its stubborn stance, has decided to drag the ICC Women’s World Cup into politics after the Asia Cup.
BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has said in a statement that our policy on the issue with Pakistan is the same as last week.
He said that all cricket rules and regulations will be followed, but there is no assurance that the players of India and Pakistan will shake hands.
It should be noted that the Pakistan-India match in the ICC Women’s World Cup will be played on October 5 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Earlier, in the Asia Cup, the Indian team showed stubbornness and did not shake hands with the Pakistani team.
