English cricketers fumed on their board over 2 separate rules for Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Indian Premier League (IPL).
James Vince, a member of England’s World Cup-winning team, says that Pakistan Super League (PSL) is a short tournament, players do not miss much from domestic by playing there, while IPL is a long tournament, domestic players do not miss out there.
James Vince raised the question of why IPL is allowed? Why not PSL? It is possible that this discrepancy in the rules is due to the mutual relationship between the boards.
The English cricketer said that if more English players had been picked in the PSL draft, more players would have also given up their domestic red ball contracts, but PSL teams often did not select English players due to the fear of NOC.
James Vince said that the ECB’s new policy is not helping English cricketers but is causing problems.
It should be noted that English batsman James Vince recently cancelled his red ball contract for the PSL.
James Vince has said goodbye to the English first-class season for the PSL and will only play white ball cricket for Hampshire this year.
James Vince has also stepped down from leading Hampshire in the County Championship.
It should be noted that English batsman James Vince is part of Karachi Kings in PSL 10.
