California: According to the latest report, the technology company Google is going to bury another feature in its graveyard. The company has decided to end its continuous scrolling of search results feature.
The user experience feature was first introduced in October 2021 for search results on mobile devices and was later released for the desktop version in late 2022.
According to a Google spokesperson, the constant scrolling feature has been removed from desktop search results, while the feature will also be removed from mobile in the coming months.
In its place, Google’s classic pagination bar will now appear on the desktop, using which users can move to the next page by clicking on any specific patch in the search or by clicking ‘next’.
On mobile a ‘More Results’ button will be presented at the end of the patch to move to the next page.
Google said that the purpose of this change is to render search results faster.
