The Islamabad High Court sought the report of the last two weeks from the jail authorities on the request to provide facilities in jail to PTI founder Imran Khan.
Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamir Farooq heard PTI founder’s request for facilities in Adiala Jail as per international agreements and jail rules.
Chief Justice Amir Farooq inquired that what facilities are being provided to the founder of PTI in jail and what not? They ask the prison authorities first, they are more relevant, tell the prison authorities what is the ground reality and what facilities are being provided?
Azhar Siddique Advocate told the court that PTI founder’s sons are not talked to through WhatsApp, to which Justice Amir Farooq said that let the answer come, let things be clear and then see.
Azhar Siddique Advocate said that the founder of PTI has said that the food spoils due to the lack of refrigerator facility, the Chief Justice said that let the answer come, I will not install a refrigerator like this, will I?
Later, the court adjourned the hearing till August 22, seeking the report of the PTI founder for the past two weeks regarding the facilities available in the jail.
