Islamabad: JUI(F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rahman says that we are being beaten since 2010 in the name of operation.
Speaking in the National Assembly, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that we are going towards Operation Destabilization. I don’t know what has been started in the name of stability. This will bring instability not stability. Since 2010, we have been beaten in the name of operation. This commitment is not stability, it is responding to China.
He said that we asked people to vacate the area for the operation. The tribal women who migrated to their areas were sent to the deserts. Many places in the tribal areas were emptied of people and they were forced to beg. Ripped their sheets and damaged traditions.
Fazlur Rehman said that four lakhs are being given to the victims to build houses. Can’t even build a house with four lakhs? You are kidding. They have not been given four lakhs but tokens have been given. Where has the state placed us? Don’t we as citizens have any rights over the state? We told them not to screw it up.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman further said that 25 to 30 thousand Afghanis went to their country and 40 to 50 thousand returned to Pakistan. General Bajwa said in front of me that the fence has been put up, no terrorist can come now. Now it is being said that the fence has been torn down.
The JUI chief further said that today the government is going to make people unemployed. This department is being abolished which is older than Pakistan. Taxes on salary and business have been imposed. We demand taxes from the nation, but we are not giving rights. How can taxes be collected when the nation does not get rights. People won’t pay you taxes because they don’t trust you. People demand peace and prosperity.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the situation in most areas of our country has reached the point of poverty. People have been protesting in Chaman since 9 months. Is this the way people from border areas are treated in any country? These people have no alternative employment. The mothers and sisters sold the jewelry but this money also ran out.
