The University of East Anglia (UEA), UK, plans to offer admissions to high-quality students from Pakistan across various academic disciplines in the coming year. This was announced by Professor Stephen Maguire, Pro Vice-Chancellor and International Head of UEA, during the UEA Agent Conference 2025 held in Lahore. He also highlighted that UEA is currently ranked 21st among UK universities, making it a highly attractive destination for ambitious students aiming for academic excellence.
Professor Maguire stated that the primary purpose of their visit to Pakistan is to raise awareness about scholarship opportunities available to Pakistani students. He emphasized that UEA is offering scholarships worth up to £10,000 to support talented students in pursuing higher education in the UK.
Accompanying the UEA delegation were distinguished academic leaders, including Professor Aamir Sharif and Professor Stephen Lecoq, representing the university’s top departments such as the Business School and Computer Sciences. Their presence aimed to guide prospective students on the admission process and share insights into their respective faculties’ performance and offerings.
Speaking at the event, Syed Nooh, Head of Global Market Development at UEA, explained that these scholarships range from £6,000 to £10,000, depending on the academic performance and the selected field of study. He added that the scholarships are specifically designed keeping in mind the growing interest of Pakistani students in UK education.
Introducing the university, the UEA team shared that the University of East Anglia is a public sector university located in Norwich Town, UK, and spans over 350 acres of campus.
Concluding the event, Syed Abir, Recruitment Manager for Pakistan, UEA, expressed gratitude to all participants. He acknowledged the presence of top 10 overseas education consultants from across Pakistan, including Paragon Overseas Education, for their active participation. He expressed hope that these partnerships will play a key role in guiding Pakistani students toward a brighter academic future.
