Doha: The Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, has said that the behavior of Israel and Hamas on the US roadmap for a ceasefire gives hope for a ceasefire.
According to Arab media, in a press briefing with the US Secretary of State, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, has said that he calls for a clear and permanent end to the war in Gaza.
The Qatari prime minister added that the US proposal for a cease-fire in Gaza is the best way to close the gap between Hamas and Israel. Due to which we are seeing a change for the first time in this conflict-filled environment.
Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani needed to put pressure on the parties Israel and Hamas to agree on the US roadmap, which proved fruitful.
It should be noted that US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken is on an important visit to the Middle East to build consensus and speedy implementation of the US proposal for a ceasefire.
US President Joe Biden presented a three-phase road map for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza in May, to which Israel and Hamas have given conditional assurances of their support.
