His film 3 Idiots, which was based on the Indian education system, became popular in China due to piracy and the actor became famous as Uncle Aamir in China because of this film.
Aamir Khan said that the Chinese audience accepted the film of a different culture with love and respect. After 3 Idiots, his other films like PK and Dangal also became hits in China.
Aamir Khan and Darsheel Safari, who worked together in Taare Zameen Par, are coming together again after 14 years for the sequel to Sitare Zameen Par.
On the production front, Aamir Khan will be the producer of Rajkumar Santoshi’s film ‘Lahore 1947’, which will star Sunny Deol in the lead role.
