PESHAWAR: The resolution regarding selling electricity to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Rs 10 per unit has been submitted to the provincial assembly secretariat.
The resolution has been submitted to the assembly secretariat on behalf of government member Fazl Elahi. The text of the resolution states that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provides electricity to the country along with generating electricity. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa generates electricity and the federation sells electricity at Rs 70-80 per unit.
The resolution states that electricity load-shedding also has to be borne by the citizens of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, therefore this assembly recommends to the federal government that Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa should be provided Rs 10 per unit of electricity and exempted from load-shedding. go According to the need, first the electricity should be given to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and later it should be provided to other provinces.
