American space agency NASA’s telescopes have released a picture of two eerie galaxies like staring eyes in the far space.
These spiral galaxies seen in the picture are located at a distance of 11.4 million light years from Earth and are named IC 2163 and NGC 2207.
The released image shows the dark universe and many distant galaxies against a bright red and pink background.
According to NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the colors of the galaxies were determined using mid-infrared light from the James Webb Space Telescope and visible and ultraviolet light from NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope.
The Mid-Infrared Instrument (also known as MIRI) aboard the James Webb Space Telescope is an instrument that helps reveal new features of galaxies.
According to NASA, IC 2163 on the right slowly slipped behind NGC 2207 billions of years ago.
