Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that the government should not obstruct the sit-in. The sit-in will take place in any case, if it is stopped, the situation will worsen.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said in a statement that caravans have left for Islamabad from all over the country. We want to get rid of IPPs responsible for expensive electricity.
He said that he is warning the government not to obstruct the sit-in. If obstruction is imposed, then there will be protests across the country and the government will be responsible for the situation.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that we are all ready to be arrested and the people of Pakistan are looking at us. The government is asking for sacrifice from the nation but is not giving sacrifice itself.
He said that he will stage a dharna against those who entered into a contract with the IPPs and in favor of the people. The people of Pakistan do not believe in these cruel rulers. People should be prepared for all kinds of situations.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami said that the IMF’s agenda is being fulfilled by imposing heavy taxes on electricity bills. The responsibility of the government is to provide law and order, health and education facilities. If the government cannot provide facilities, why is it taxing?
