Washington: Well, our solar system generally counts eight planets with a dwarf planet named Pluto. However, astronomers now suspect that there is a possibility of another planet in our solar system.
The Oort cloud, a halo that covers our solar system, is where scientists believe the planet resides. “It’s not unusual for our solar system to have such an Oort cloud covering a planet,” said study co-author Nathan Cabb, an astronomer at the Planetary Science Institute.
Such hidden worlds are a class of planets that should definitely exist but have received relatively little attention so far, he added. If there is a planet in the Oort cloud, it will be entirely ice.
However, he said that such planets have a strong gravitational force and can destabilize other planets as well.
