A number of demonstrators protesting in solidarity with Palestine were arrested by the police in Amsterdam.
According to foreign media, protesting youths in the suburbs of the capital of the Netherlands attacked a tram and set it on fire after vandalizing it.
Tensions have been high for several days since last week’s attack on spectators at an Israeli football club.
Videos posted on social media showed a tram being attacked with fireworks and its windows smashed.
According to German broadcaster DW, the fire on the tram was immediately extinguished and the police dispersed the protesters after several arrests.
Dutch authorities say they will bring those involved in the violence to justice.
