Islamabad: The daily production of oil and gas increased by 2 percent while the sale of petroleum products increased by 2 percent in the first 4 months of this fiscal year.
According to Petroleum Information Services data, the average daily production of crude oil in the country was recorded at 65,582 barrels per day for the week ending October 31, the daily production for the consecutive week was 64,467 barrels, and the average daily production of gas was 2,737 mmcfd. Which is two percent more than the daily production of 2694 MMcfd of the previous week.
Meanwhile, according to the data of the Oil Companies Advisory Council, the sale of petroleum products from July to October was 5.18 million tons, which is 2 percent more than the same period of the previous financial year.
According to the data of the State Bank, in the first quarter, France, Germany and Western European countries received 1.165 billion dollars from exports, which is 16.23% more than the exports of the same period of the previous financial year. Imports from these countries spent 496.34 million dollars which is 40.67 percent less than the imports of the same period of the previous financial year.
According to the Cotton Ginners Association, the arrival of cotton at the ginning factories was down by 37%, 4,291,000 bales were brought to the factories till October 31, which is 37% less than the 6,794,000 bales received in the same period last year.
