Islamabad: The trend of increasing inflation rate in the country continues, the inflation rate has increased by 0.55 percent in the recent week and the inflation rate has also increased by 4.16 percent on an annual basis.
According to the weekly inflation report released by the Federal Bureau of Statistics on Friday, the prices of 24 daily necessities increased in the recent week and the prices of 6 essential items decreased, while the prices of 21 items remained stable.
According to the Federal Bureau of Statistics, during the recent week, the prices of potatoes increased by 1.26 percent, the prices of eggs by 5.01 percent, tomatoes by 16.86 percent, LPG by 4.10 percent, mustard oil by 1.90 percent, garlic by 4.30 percent, firewood by 2.07 percent, sugar by 1.34 percent and ghee by 1.87 percent.
In contrast, banana prices decreased by 0.18 percent, gram prices by 2.51 percent, dal mash prices by 0.87 percent, chicken prices by 0.07 percent and flour prices by 0.01 percent.
The statistics show that during the recent week, the inflation rate for the group with an income of up to Rs 17,732 per month on an annual basis, as per the sensitive price index, increased by 0.83 percent to 2.33 percent.
For the group with an income of Rs 17,733 to Rs 22,888 per month, the inflation rate increased by 0.74 percent to 2.47 percent and for the group with an income of Rs 22,889 to Rs 29,517 per month, the inflation rate increased by 0.62 percent to 4.07 percent.
Similarly, the inflation rate for the group earning between Rs. 29,518 and Rs. 44,175 per month increased by 0.59 percent to 4.19 percent, while for the group earning more than Rs. 44,176 per month, the inflation rate increased by 0.44 percent to 4.75 percent.
