Polling has ended in many states including Indiana, Kentucky, Florida, Vermont, Georgia for the US presidential election, the counting of votes and the results have started.
Among the dice-rolling states were North Carolina, West Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump leads with 205 electoral votes, while Kamala Harris has 117 electoral votes so far, leading in five of the seven swing states. Any candidate needs 270 out of 538 electoral votes to win.
According to American media, Donald Trump also won in Indiana, Kentucky, Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi, and West Virginia, while Kamala Harris won in Vermont.
218 seats are required to control the House of Representatives. 34 out of 100 members of the US Senate will be elected today. Currently, there are 38 Republicans and 28 Democrats in the Senate. Governors will also be elected in 11 states.
