After the match, the award ceremony at the Dubai Cricket Stadium was delayed due to Indian stubbornness. During this, Mohsin Naqvi, umpires and players of both teams were present at the stadium.
Indian cricketers Taluk Verma and Shivam Dubey received their awards individually, while the Asian Cricket Council President also gave runner-up awards to Pakistani players.
During the closing ceremony, the trophy was also brought to the ground, however, due to Indian stubbornness and the decision of Asian Cricket Council President Mohsin Naqvi, the trophy was sent back from the ground.
After which it was announced that the ceremony would be ended without the trophy being presented.
Renowned commentator Simon Dole announced that the Indian team had informed the ACC that it would not receive its winning trophy tonight.
Indian Cricket Board representative Devajit Saikia admitted that the only reason for the refusal was that the trophy was being presented by Pakistani Federal Minister and ACC Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
The Indian team neither received medals nor was given the champion’s board, due to which the Indian team took pictures without the trophy and the champion’s board and symbolically made gestures to lift the trophy with their hands and entertained their hearts.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his tweet, likened the game to “Operation Sindoor”, making it clear that for India this match was not a game, but a war narrative.
It should be noted that this is the first worst occasion in the history of cricket that the world is having to witness due to the war fanaticism of the Indian government.
