KARACHI: The funeral prayer of an officer who was martyred in the firing of terrorists in the Federal B area of the central district of Shahr Quaid was performed at the Garden Police Headquarters.
According to the details, Yusuf, a police officer posted at Sumanabad police station, was shot and injured by unknown terrorists in Federal B area and the official SMG was taken away.
Later, the injured Yusuf died during treatment in the hospital. The funeral prayer of the martyred official was offered at Garden Police Headquarters South in which Interior Minister Sindh Zia-ul-Hasan Linjar, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odhu, Zonal DIGs and officers and personnel of Police and Rangers were present. Including the heirs of the deceased official, relatives, friends and people of the neighborhood participated.
On this occasion, the Sindh Interior Minister expressed his condolences and sympathy to the relatives of the martyred constable and said that the Government of Sindh and the Sindh Police Department stand with you in this hour of sorrow. He paid tribute to the services of the martyred constables for the Sindh Police and said that the sacrifices of the police martyrs for the security of life and property of the people and the establishment of peace are priceless and unforgettable.
Sindh Interior Minister also issued special orders to the senior officers present on the spot to provide the prevailing benefits to the heirs of the martyr.
