Israel used phosphorus bombs in southern Lebanon.
According to Arab media, Israeli warplanes dropped phosphorus bombs on the towns of Migdal Zone and Al-Qaliyah in southern Lebanon. According to the Lebanese official news agency, the Israeli attacks targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut and the southern Lebanese city of Tyre. Israeli forces targeted a 4-story building in the Shiite area, killing several civilians and completely destroying the building.
On the other hand, Hezbollah retaliated with a drone attack in southern Lebanon, killing an Israeli soldier. An Israeli base southeast of Haifa was also bombed with a drone. A statement issued by Hezbollah said that an airstrike with a squadron of drones attacked Ramat David Base. This is a large air base in northern Israel that includes military combat troops. The base, located in the southeastern city of Haifa, 50 kilometers from the Lebanese border, was hit by drones with precision.
The Israeli military said in a statement that about 25 projectiles fired from Lebanon toward Israel were detected in the Upper Galilee, Western Galilee and Central Galilee areas. Some of the shells were intercepted and some fell in the area. The Israeli military had previously announced that 10 projectiles from Lebanon had passed through Israeli territory and the rest had fallen in open areas.
