Actress urges social media users to stop misuse of artificial intelligence, calls incident mentally distressing
Indian actress Srileela has filed a formal complaint with the police after obscene, AI-generated fake photos allegedly depicting her went viral on social media.
In an emotional note shared online, Srileela spoke about the mental anguish, trauma, and distress caused by the circulation of the fabricated images. She said she became aware of the issue recently and immediately approached law enforcement authorities to initiate legal action.

The actress strongly appealed to the public and social media users not to promote or support the misuse of artificial intelligence, emphasizing that technological advancement should serve to improve human life, not cause pain and harm.
“Technology is meant to make life easier, not more complicated and painful,” she said, highlighting the growing concern over the unethical use of AI tools.
Speaking about respect for women, Srileela said that every woman is connected to someone through family or relationships, regardless of her profession. She stressed that defaming anyone through fake or distorted images is completely unacceptable.

The actress also mentioned that due to her busy work schedule, she was initially unaware of the online activity and thanked her well-wishers for bringing the matter to her attention.
Calling the situation “extremely disturbing and heartbreaking,” Srileela assured her fans that the case is now being handled by the relevant authorities, and she hopes strict action will be taken against those responsible.
