Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and others will be charged on October 19 in the May 9 GHQ attack case.
Judge Amjad Ali Shah of Rawalpindi’s Special Anti-Terrorism Court heard the May 9 tragedy cases. Deciding to try the GHQ attack case first, copies of the challan were distributed among the named accused in the case.
Copies were distributed to Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi by the lawyer, while arrest warrants were issued for the absent 31 accused. Shireen Mazari, Sadaqat Abbasi, Amjad Niazi, Usman Dar also appeared. The nominated PTI workers and leaders in the 28th September and 4th October protest cases did not appear. Strict security measures were taken on the occasion of the hearing. The next hearing of the case will be held on October 19 in the Adiala Jail Court.
