Islamabad: Riphah Institute of Public Policy successfully organized a high-level dialogue session on “Bangladesh-Pakistan Bilateral Cooperation” at Riphah International University, Islamabad. The event brought together distinguished policymakers, diplomats, and academics to explore new avenues for enhancing economic, social, and academic collaboration between the two nations.The session was graced by His Excellency Md. Iqbal Hussain Khan, High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Islamabad, along with Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad, Vice Chancellor of Riphah International University; Lt. Gen. (R) Naeem Lodhi; Ambassador Moazzam Ahmad Khan; Mr. Naeem Anwar, Chairman National Tariff Commission; Tauseef Zaman, Former Vice President ICCI; Syed Belal, President ESaR Trust; and Dr. Rashid Aftab, Director Riphah Institute of Public Policy.During his address, High Commissioner Md. Iqbal Hussain Khan emphasized the deep-rooted historical, cultural, religious, social, and economic ties between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

He highlighted Pakistan’s potential in tourism, its well-developed motorway infrastructure, and excellence in medical education, which Bangladesh can benefit from. Stressing the need for cooperation in defence, industry, education, and pharmaceuticals, he stated that both countries must adapt to the rapidly changing global landscape through strengthened collaboration.The dialogue provided a valuable platform for insightful discussions on deepening bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors. The event concluded with a commitment to continued engagement and policy-driven initiatives to enhance Bangladesh-Pakistan relations in the future.
