The important meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) defense ministers was held in the Chinese capital Beijing, in which Pakistan’s diplomacy won a victory, while India faced defeat.
According to the report, India failed to link the Pahalgam incident to Pakistan in the statement of the defense ministers’ meeting of the organization.
After this, the Indian delegation refused to sign the joint declaration of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting in a panic.
According to reports, the Indian delegation kept pleading for Pakistan to be condemned in the declaration, the delegations of the member countries refused to support the Indian position.
Earlier, the Indian media had also acknowledged the country’s diplomatic defeat and said that the joint declaration issued at the end of the meeting angered Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and he refused to sign the joint declaration.
According to Indian media reports, the main reason for their displeasure was that there was no mention of the Pahalgam incident in the declaration. The SCO declaration also hinted at India indirectly spreading unrest in Balochistan, which caused great concern for New Delhi.
The meeting was attended by the defense ministers of China, Russia, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries.
Sources said that the Indian delegation expressed its concern, however, other member countries refused to make any changes in the declaration, after which Rajnath Singh refused to sign and rejected the declaration.
Sources said that India appeared completely isolated diplomatically on the Pahalgam issue and no member country supported India. All member countries condemned the Israeli aggression against Iran, while India’s point of view was different.
It is clear from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization declaration that India has become diplomatically isolated.
