Farasan: Scientists have discovered a new species of fish in the Red Sea, which experts have named as ‘grumpy’.
The scientific name of this fish is Soyota athon. Researchers described it as grumpy who tracked the creature in coral reefs in the ocean.
A detailed study published recently states that the fish is named for its apparently grumpy and unhappy appearance, largely due to the extremely high position of its mouth.
The size of this fish is less than 2 cm and it belongs to Gobidae family. This genus includes about 2,000 species of fish.
A team of researchers from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology and University of Washington presented a report on this fish.
