A company called Syntilay is using AI and 3D printing to create shoes that are available for $150 a pair.
Syntilay uses a combination of AI tools that also include human artistry to create its shoes.
Designers rely on Midjourney to create the basic shape of the shoe, after which a human artist sketches the idea uploaded to Vizcom AI, which is then transformed into a 3D model.
The AI then helps design and embed textures and patterns into the shoe design, creating the final product.
Syntilay founder Ben Weiss founded Syntilay with Reebok co-founder Joe Foster. The shoes come in five colors: orange, red, beige, black, and blue.
