Lahore: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has formed a 7-member committee to investigate the alleged rape of students in Punjab College.
Chief Secretary Punjab has been appointed as the convener of the investigation committee, the investigation committee will conduct a thorough investigation into the incident. The investigation committee will submit its report to the Punjab Chief Minister within 48 hours.
Yesterday, the victim’s father and uncle said in their statement that the protest is being made in the name of our daughter, with whom we are not related, the daughter had slipped in the house and injured her back and due to this Went to ICU.
It should be noted that a few days ago, the news of the alleged rape of a female student in Punjab College went viral on social media, against which a large number of students strongly protested. Many students were also injured in the clash with police and guards.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran said that the accused security guard has been detained immediately but the incident has not been confirmed yet.
