The Sindh government has banned the double riding of motorcycles on the occasion of Hazrat Imam Hussain’s Chehlam.
According to the notification issued by the Sindh Interior Department, double riding will be banned in Karachi’s South Zone from August 25 to August 27, while in East District, it will be banned on August 26, and in West Zone on August 25 and 26.

The notification stated that there will be ban on August 25 and 26 in Hyderabad and Thatta. In Mirpur Khas, Sukkur and Larkana there will also be a ban on double riding of motorcycles.
On the occasion of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) Chelum, prohibition will be imposed in Dadu and Sajawal from August 25 to 27. The Sindh Home Department has imposed a ban on double riding on the recommendation of IG Sindh.
According to the notification, journalists, senior citizens and women will be exempted from the ban on double riding motorcycles.
