Jason Gillespie, head coach of the red ball format of the national team, says that coming to Pakistan is a great experience for me, I am looking forward to coaching the team.
While giving a press conference in Karachi, Jason Gillespie, the new coach of the national team in the test format, said that before agreeing to coach the Pakistani team, he contacted former cricketer Sean Tait and others, on which he got a positive report.
He said that all my focus will be on making the Test team win against the big teams, the experience of working with Pakistan Shaheens was good, the team is very talented but they have to bring consistency in their performances.
Jason Gillespie said that the World Test Championship is my main goal, for this we need to work hard, the more Test cricket we play, the more we will benefit. The selection of the team will be done keeping in view the conditions and the fitness criteria that will perform and the squad will be part of it.
He said that he has spoken to the head coach of the white ball cricket team, Gary Kirsten, regarding the Pakistan team, plans have also been made for the boys who are playing in different formats. Talked to Shaan Masood but could not meet, I like his positive play.
The Red Ball coach said that he wants to go with the Shaheens team and see the young players, will make selections regarding the condition against Bangladesh and England. We will talk about the selection regarding each player, but I have nothing to do with the captaincy of the white ball.
He added that England plays their own style of cricket but we need to play discipline and smart cricket.
It should be noted that Jason Gillespie from Australia will supervise the training camp of Pakistan Shaheens starting from Monday for the tour of Darwin, Australia.
