Rawalpindi: The police registered a case against the officials who manipulated the exported domestic and foreign currency worth 15 crores.
A case was registered against 9 police employees and a private person for manipulating the recovered money during the arrest of the suspects who looted domestic and foreign currency from the FIAACC warehouse.
The SHO, ASI, 7 constables and a private person have been named as accused in the case. The case has been registered in the complaint of ACCFIA SHO Asfandyar, according to which, on May 31, 2 accused persons looted local and foreign currency worth around 15 crores from the FIA warehouse. The accused who were carrying currency and other items were caught by the Mandira police at the toll plaza.
According to the text of the case, Mandira police manipulated the money recovered from the accused and revealed only 47.9 million recovered. Mandira Police’s dishonesty is also evident from the tearing of the daily report. Inspector Yasir Awan, ASI Imran Muzaffar, Constables Khizr Hayat, Muzaffar Shah, Shahid Mahmood, Asad Mahmood, Usman and Mukhtar Hussain, and a private person including Muhammad Naeem Shehzad have also been named accused in the case.
