Scientists have discovered a planet 500 light-years from Earth with the fastest wind speed ever recorded.
These supersonic storms, which travel at a speed of 20,000 miles per hour, are enough to rip flesh from a human’s bones.
According to experts, the speed of these winds in this planet called WASP-127b is six times faster than the planet’s rotation speed.
A scientist on the team that discovered this planet said that supersonic winds are blowing at the planet’s equator.
The fastest winds in our solar system are blowing at a speed of 1,200 miles per hour on Neptune.
In addition, scientists found that the morning and evening sides of this planet, which is larger than Jupiter, have different temperatures.
