California: Instant messaging application WhatsApp has introduced screen sharing with audio support and a new speaker spotlight feature for its web version.
According to reports, the new Speaker Spotlight update has the ability to automatically highlight the user speaking on a video call.
Reports also stated that the platform has increased the number of participants on a video call to 32.
Apart from this, WhatsApp’s owner company Meta has also introduced the Meta Low Bit Rate (M Low) codec feature on the app, which aims to improve call quality in poor network or older devices.
The feature is already available for Instagram and Messenger calls and is now being rolled out to WhatsApp to improve the experience across Meta’s platforms.
The company will roll out this new update to users in the next few weeks.
